Mark Wells is a talented singer/songwriter from Newcastle. His emphasis on writing memorable tunes and delivering energetic performances has earned him a swag of awards, radio airplay and a legion of dedicated supporters.
Mark has travelled to Nashville for the CMA music festival and enjoyed 5 days of songwriting appointments arranged by Universal Music Publishing and Rob Potts Entertainment Edge. This comes after the success of one of his songs, “Big Skies”, co-written with Golden Guitar nominee and good friend Morgan Evans. The song reached the ARIA Australian Top 50 and has received high rotation on commercial radio. Mark has also been recognised for his vocal talents, and was named as Best Male Vocalist for 2007 at the ABC Music Awards in Newcastle.
Mark is no stranger to touring and playing live either. He has performed centre stage at the Sydney Entertainment Centre, appeared on bills with Shihad, Evermore and The Whitlams, and toured the length and breadth of Australia as frontman of the now disbanded rock group, Supersonic. Mark loves connecting with the audience through his performances, whether it be inviting on-the-spot song requests from the audience (there′s no song he won′t try!) or getting them pumped & partying on the dance floor.
The number of repeat bookings he earns for Weddings and Corporate functions are a testament to this special ability.
